Poor Finn Jones has been taking a bashing from critics for his portrayal of Danny Rand in Netflix's Iron Fist. The truth is that the show is good. (IMO). Now is it as good as Daredevil season 1 or 2 or Jessica Jones, then no it's not. It is however, just as good as Luke cage though and Luke Cage was great. I recommend it cause it's great. Anyways here is something quick and inky. I might update this later. Put some more time into it.
In honour of the 100th Episode for Collider Heroes, I made up a couple of variation comic covers for the occasion. The image is inspired by the All New X-Men cover by the extremely talented Mark Bagley.
Collider Heroes 100 Starring Jon Schnepp, Robert Meyer Burnett, Amy Dallen, John Campea, Ashley Robinson, David Griffin & Jason Inman.
I saw this film and it stuck with me for days after. It is fantastic. Not a perfect film but a very strong film that I will see it again. Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart and the rest of the cast were great and I am sad to see this being the last one with Jackman and Stewart but the finished up with one hell of a bang.
UPDATE: I Changed the head because I wasn't happy with how it looked.
I wanted to do a rendition of Spider-man like the old Steve Ditko/John Romita comics. I haven't done one like that before. I went for a Vintage feel. I like how it turned out although I may change the head as it feels a little weird to me. The background is based of one from the great J Scott Campbell.
Just doing a quick bit of art today on lunch. I love the invincible books, the story will be wrapping up this year and that's a shame but it was a great run. I would like to see this as a live action feature one day. Anyways here it is.
So as you know I am working on my creator owned mini series. 6 issues that will hopefully lead to more. I have 4 covers done and am finishing up issue 3 as we speak. I have to balance the comic work with my Film and TV work, as well as every day life but I am enjoying it and look forward to having my own books out later this year.
I grew up loving the Turtles and my very first VHS tape I ever bought (my mammy bought it for me) was the episode where the turtles shrank and ended up in the sewer. I might be mistaken but I think the last time I drew them must be about 10-15 years ago. Anyways here you are. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I didn't grow up reading the comics. So when the film was announced I wasn't sure if I would like it. I saw the movie and I liked it alot. It was stunning visually and the story was very true to the source material (so I hear). A fun movie to see and a great addition to the MCU.
